Prof. Godwin Ogbole Pays Courtesy Visit to University of Ibadan Vice Chancellor Ahead of Frederick Foundation Inauguration

In preparation for the Inauguration and Award Presentation Ceremony of the Frederick Foundation, holding on 29 September 2026 at the Paul Hendrickse Lecture Theatre, College of Medicine, University of Ibadan, Prof. Godwin Ogbole paid a courtesy visit to the Vice Chancellor of the University of Ibadan, Prof. Kayode O. Adebowale.

Professor Adebowale warmly received Prof. Ogbole at his office, where they both discussed the upcoming ceremony and the Foundation's broader mission. The visit forms part of ongoing engagements with institutional and academic stakeholders ahead of the event.

At the ceremony, the Foundation will present awards to the first cohort of the Oxford–Ibadan Medical Student Exchange in Clinical Neurosciences, a programme approved by both the University of Ibadan and the University of Oxford.

The exchange is aimed at strengthening clinical training and research collaboration in neurosciences between both institutions, and building a pipeline of medical specialists equipped to advance neurological and stroke care. The occasion will also highlight the Foundation's principal work: equipping and operationalising the acute stroke unit already built at University College Hospital.
